Planning Poker® has become the defacto standard for estimating the size of work to be done in agile teams. It makes estimating fun and encompasses many practices shown by research to improve the accuracy of estimates.
Our Planning Poker® deck is a casino quality deck carefully designed for maximum usability. If you are in our area, just contact us to get some decks free of charge! Or, just order the number of decks you want above, and we will send them to you at cost price.
Here are some of the features of our version of the deck:
- Each deck contains cards for four estimators
- Poker size, casino quality cards, smooth finish
- Different colored backs for easy sorting and handling
- Big visible numbers enables use in large groups
- Numbers in the corners so that you can hold it like a fan
- One rule card for each estimator
- Extra cards with estimating tips
- Delivered in cello wrapped paper box
- No coffee cup card ;-)

- Each team member is dealt a set of cards
- The meeting moderator picks a feature to estimate
- The person that knows the features best describes it
- The team asks questions to clarify the feature
- Every team member silently makes an estimate and picks a cards
- Everyone turns their cards over at the same time. If estimates differ significantly, the highest and lowest bidder explain their selection.
- Repeat the previous two steps until estimates converge
